The urban landscape provides a rich field of perspective lines, blocks and textures which speaks to me in the colourful abstract

St Ives Angles
Inspired by the light of a Cornish summer this is the view from Tate St Ives across the geometric shapes and angles of roof tops, over the deep blue of Carbis Bay to the white sentinel of Godrevy Lighthouse Oil on Canvas 40cm x 50cm SOLD in Private Collection

Hull at St Ives
Inspired by the strong geometry of the hull, masts and buildings against the strong blocks of colour St Ives fishing boat with St Ia church and harbourside in the background. Original available at https://timgodwin.art/product/hulll-at-st-ives/

Vanishing Mousehole
Duck Lane, Mousehole is an iconic view of a Cornish fishing street and harbour. The textures, strong lines and blocks of perspective deserved a simple abstract treatment with the warm rich glow of evening light. Original in Private Collection.

Decay
Where Urban Started. Based on a photograph taken in the 1980s this empty site in Blackpool presented a mixture of perspective lines, blocks and textures which I found captivating. The subdued colours reflect a less exuberant period in my life.
